
KARACHI: State Bank has decided to issue a commemorative coin of Rs.50 on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the establishment of the Senate of Pakistan.
According to the details, the State Bank will issue a commemorative coin of Rs.50 on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the Senate of Pakistan.
The year 2023 is the year of the Golden Jubilee of the Senate of Pakistan, to mark this special occasion, the Federal Government has authorized the State Bank of Pakistan to issue a commemorative coin of Rs.50.
This commemorative coin will be issued from 17 March 2023 at all exchange counters of SBP Banking Services Corporation field offices.
The weight of the coin is 13.5 grams and it consists of metallic components of copper and nickel.
The obverse of the coin features a crescent moon and a 5-pointed star in the middle.
The words ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN are inscribed in Urdu script above the moon and star on the coin circle, the year of issue 2023 is inscribed below the moon and above 2 branches of wheat rising above.
The face value of the coin is 50 in raised numerals and rupees in Urdu script on the right and left sides of the moon star respectively.
The reverse of the coin and in the center of the coin the insignia of the Senate of Pakistan is engraved with the artistic numerals 50 to its right.
Above this insignia are the words Pakistan Senate Golden Jubilee in Urdu script in a circle, below the insignia of the Senate is the Golden Jubilee period 1973-2023.
