The Agency of the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Kiswa of the Holy Kaaba, represented by the General Administration for the Maintenance of the Kiswa of the Holy Kaaba in the Grand Mosque, has maintained the Kiswa, in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan, to preserve its splendor and appearance in its best form.
The agent of the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Covering of the Holy Kaaba, Engineer Amjad Al-Hazmi, indicated that, according to the agency’s operational and technical plan, the dress of the Holy Kaaba is inspected on a daily basis and periodic maintenance is carried out through a specialized Saudi work team, where the team concerned with the task inspects all parts of the cover of the Kaaba and the rings installed for it. And work to fix the notes immediately, if any.

He stated that the work team of specialists and technicians is keen to organize the work and prioritize it according to the approved plan, in preparation for the blessed month of Ramadan, and that the team members work according to the highest standards of accuracy and quality in performance and achievement within a record time, stressing that the presidency uses the latest technologies and the best materials with international specifications. In the implementation of the maintenance work of the covering of the Holy Kaaba, with the continuous support of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God preserve it – to take care and concern for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque and those who visit them in general, and the Holy Kaaba in particular over many decades.
Fahd Al-Jabri, Director of the General Administration for the Maintenance of the Kiswa of the Holy Kaaba in the Grand Mosque, explained that this work comes among the periodic works on which the Kaaba Care Unit is based, as these works are summarized in installing a cloth with a height of three meters on all sides of the Holy Kaaba, in addition to tensioning and weighting. The dress of the Kaaba and fixing it from the sides, as well as the work of cleaning the cover of the Holy Kaaba from all directions, adding that the black stone and the Yemeni corner will be changed; In implementation of the directives of the General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, and continuous follow-up from the Assistant General President for the Affairs of the King Abdulaziz Complex for the Holy Kaaba Cladding and Engineering, Technical and Operational Affairs, Eng. Sultan bin Ati Al-Qurashi.
