The Lahore High Court on Friday granted protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan in six cases, restraining the police from arresting him till March 24.

A two-member bench comprising Justices Tariq Saleem and Farooq Haider of the High Court on Friday evening heard the application related to Imran Khan’s protective bail in nine cases.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court had given time to the former Prime Minister Imran Khan to appear in the court till 5.30 pm today (Friday), after which Imran Khan himself appeared before the court.

According to reporter Arshad Chaudhry, the court said during the hearing that ‘bail will be given only in those cases.’ After which the court approved Imran Khan’s protective bail in six of the nine cases.

During the hearing, Imran Khan told the court that ‘I have 94 cases, if six more cases are made, the century will be completed and it will be my non-cricketing century.’

On this statement of Imran Khan, there was laughter in the court.

The Lahore High Court has granted Imran Khan protective bail till March 24 in six of the nine cases and March 27 in the other three cases.


The Islamabad High Court has suspended the arrest warrant of former Prime Minister Imran in the Tosha Khana case and has stopped the police from arresting him till tomorrow i.e. Saturday.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq on Friday heard the petition related to suspension of arrest warrant of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan in the Tosha Khana case.

According to Correspondent Quratul Ain Shirazi, at the beginning of the hearing, Imran Khan’s lawyer Khawaja Haris requested the court to suspend the warrant and said that the affidavits have been presented in the session judge’s court in compliance with the court orders.

The Chief Justice remarked that ‘everyone is equal before the law. An affidavit is a legal matter similar to a statement before a court. If it is violated, there will be consequences and then contempt of court action will be taken.’

On this, lawyer Khawaja Haris questioned that ‘There was also an objection that how can the matter which has already been decided be heard again? The trial court was asked to look into the matter of the affidavit, which was not satisfied with it.

He further said that ‘Imran Khan himself wants to appear in the court voluntarily. The affidavit is not only there but another application has also been made and the administration has also been asked to provide security.’

The lawyer said that along with the affidavit, steps were taken to show that Imran Khan wanted to appear. On which the Chief Justice inquired that ‘you now want to appear in court and give assurance?’

Meanwhile, lawyer Khawaja Haris submitted an affidavit regarding Imran Khan’s attendance on Saturday.

Later, Khawaja Haris verbally assured Imran Khan to appear before the trial court on Saturday. The court has issued notices to the parties and asked them to respond by March 21.

The court has said that Imran Khan should be given an opportunity to appear before the court tomorrow. The district administration and Islamabad police should take steps to provide security on this occasion.

The Islamabad High Court has restrained Imran Khan from being arrested till Saturday. The Chief Justice has instructed in this regard that ‘Imran Khan should ensure that there is no law and order situation on his appearance in the court.’


The Lahore High Court has given time to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former Prime Minister Imran Khan to appear in the court today (Friday) till 5:30 pm.

According to Correspondent Arshad Chaudhry, the bench of Lahore High Court comprising Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh approved Imran Khan’s request to reach the High Court from Zaman Park and asked IG Punjab to allow him (Imran Khan) to reach the Lahore High Court building. I ordered to facilitate.

The court decided to hold a hearing on Imran Khan’s bail application at five o’clock and also ordered to present the details of all the cases filed against the Chairman PTI.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussain told the Lahore High Court that he had a meeting with Chief Secretary Punjab in which three important issues were discussed, in which Imran Khan’s security was at the forefront.

He further told the court that due to the order of the Lahore High Court, peace was established in Lahore and innocent lives were saved.

On Friday, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain’s application was heard in the court of Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh in the Lahore High Court, where he told the court that his party had decided to hold a meeting on Monday instead of Sunday, so the Interior Department The request for action should not be approved.

On this occasion, Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh said: ‘Whoever committed the abuse, the cameras are there, they should be brought forward. Action should be taken on whichever of the two sides is in excess.’

Fawad Chaudhry told the court: ‘We want the police to take action against the rapists.

“Imran Khan should be allowed to come safely to the Lahore High Court, we have filed applications for Imran Khan’s protective bail.”

Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh said that the court will review the request for permission to access the Lahore High Court from Imran Khan.

IG Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, who was present in the court, took a stand that ‘after the search warrant, we should be allowed to take legal action. If a search warrant comes, their committee should be directed to execute it.’

Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh said: ‘The law has a solution to all your concerns. Whatever happens in the civilized world, the matter should be brought before the court. Containers should be used for export, not for placing on roads.

On this, Fawad Chaudhry said that he has agreed with the Chief Secretary to take permission five days in advance for the processions, while the police have included 500 unknown people in one case and 2500 in another case.

‘They will put the whole city in jail. Those against whom action is to be taken should also get a chance for legal protection by identifying them with cameras.

Fawad Chaudhry’s lawyer Khawaja Tariq Rahim said that ‘I assure the court that Imran Khan will appear in court. The subpoena will go to the address at which the summons is delivered. If the said accused is not present at this address, he will inform the court for the change of address after posting the notice. Till date it has not happened that a squad of police and Rangers have gone to comply with the notice.’

Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh said, ‘What you are telling is in case the compliant reaches home. Here, the compliant is unable to reach home. What happened here would not happen in any civilized country.’

IG Punjab raised the question that ‘after the warrant of arrest, can the SSP or the police officer go to the residential address or not?’

Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh inquired that he is not talking about any particular case. All this happened because the court order is not being fulfilled, the court does not want such an unpleasant incident to happen again in the future.

The court wants you to sit together and decide the SOPs. How will three thousand unknown prisoners be identified in two cases?’

To this, IG Punjab replied that ‘We have a complete system for identification, we have photos, videos, geo-fencing, audio evidence. Whatever happens will be placed before the court.’

The court inquired how they (the other party) will be satisfied. Because this is a special case.

IG Punjab reiterated: ‘Everything will be on merit but I cannot allow anyone to influence the investigating officer.’

The judge remarked ‘the experience of the court is that into the unknown the will is put.’

Imran Khan has also filed a protective bail application in the Islamabad Sessions Court’s arrest warrant, which states: ‘He wants to appear in court and face the charges against him. There is a fear of arrest by the police, the court should grant security guarantees in all the seven cases.

An application has also been filed by the IG Punjab in the Lahore High Court, in which the position has been taken that the police reached Zaman Park to implement the decision of the Islamabad trial court. So strong resistance was faced by PTI workers, several police officers and officials were injured by stone pelting.

PTI workers hurled petrol bombs at the police which set government vehicles on fire. Activists damaged government property and took the law into their hands. There are reports of the presence of wanted persons belonging to suspected organizations in Zaman Park. Arrest of the law-abiding activists who are hiding in Zaman Park is required. Evidence cannot be collected as the police do not have access to Zaman Park. The court should allow the arrest of the accused and the collection of evidence.
