Manish Sisodia Remand: AAP leader Manish Sisodia, arrested in the Delhi Excise Policy case, was presented in Rouse Avenue Court. There was a hearing regarding his remand. During this, the ED demanded to increase the remand of Manish Sisodia. The court has extended his remand for 5 more days. He will now remain in remand till March 22.

The ED told the court that Alok Srivastava has given some important information about which investigation is yet to be done. On the basis of this, C Arvind has to be interrogated. Later C Arvind, Sanjay Goyal and Gopikrishna have to face to face.

The ED said that the mobile was changed on July 22 as soon as the complaint was received. During interrogation, Sisodia could not tell what was done with that phone. That’s why we have to inquire about electronic data also. The ED claimed that the March 2019 document found from Sisodia’s computer had 5 per cent commission, which was increased to 12 per cent in September 2022. This was done at the behest of South Lobby.

Sisodia’s lawyer protested
Opposing the bail, Sisodia’s lawyer said that what the ED is saying, the CBI has also said the same things in the court. There is nothing new in this. The lawyer said that only 12 to 13 hours of questioning has been done in 7 days.

On this the ED said that every day 5 to 6 hours of questioning has been done. We have CCTV. On Thursday (March 16) too, there was an inquiry for 6 hours.
