The Supreme Court in Saudi Arabia called on all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan on the evening of Tuesday, March 21.
The Supreme Court hopes that whoever has the ability to show interest in this matter, and join the committees formed in the regions for this purpose.
And according to what was reported in the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”, the announcement of the Supreme Court stated the following:
Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions altogether, and after:
In view of what was included in Supreme Court Decision No. (167 / AH), dated 8/1/1444 AH, that Tuesday 8/1/1444 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 2/21/2023 AD, is the beginning of the month of Sha’ban for the year 1444 AH, the Supreme Court wishes to All Muslims throughout the Kingdom are investigating the sighting of the crescent of the month of Ramadan on the evening of Tuesday 8/29/1444 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 3/21/2023 CE.
The Supreme Court requests that those who see it with the naked eye, or through binoculars; Notify the nearest court to him and record his testimony there, or contact the nearest center; To help him get to the nearest court.
The Supreme Court hopes that whoever has the ability to show interest in this matter, join the committees formed in the regions for this purpose, and calculate the reward for participation; Because it is of cooperation in righteousness and piety, and benefit to all Muslims.
And God grants success, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and all his companions.”
