KARACHI: Two youths were killed by firing on resistance during a robbery in New Karachi. Police in Pak Colony and other areas arrested four robbers with injuries after the encounter.
According to the details, armed men who came for robbery in Shafiq Colony area of New Karachi opened fire on resisting, as a result of which a man named Idris was seriously injured, later Idris succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
According to the police, the slain youth Idris refused to give the mobile phone to the robbers, due to which they opened fire.
In the area of Pak Colony Gutter Baghecha, unknown persons also shot and killed a person. According to the police, the victim was identified as Mukhtiar, who was 19 years old.
In another incident, the police party on patrol in Pak Colony’s Musharraf Park tried to stop 3 suspects on a motorcycle, on which the armed men opened fire on the police.
SSP Kemari told ARY News that an accused was injured in the retaliatory fire of Hollis, who was arrested and shifted to hospital for first aid, according to the police.
The accused fled from the spot with another injured accomplice.
Meanwhile, after the police encounter in Firozabad and Sachal areas of Karachi, 3 accused were arrested with injuries.
According to the police, weapons and a motorcycle were recovered from the accused, two accomplices of the injured accused managed to escape.
After the alleged encounter in Ferozeabad, one accused was arrested in an injured condition, weapons and a stolen motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused, while the other accused escaped.
